About this deal

This was sooooo good! Julian (H) is an excellent book boyfriend who would do anything for the girl he’s crazy for and Dahlia’s (h) mental health journey was emotional and fulfilling. Julian's a billionaire luxury construction company owner and Dahlia is a designer who had her own tv show and a line of home goods. There is an element of second chance in their love story, but even though they've known each other since childhood (their moms are best friends), their initial potential for romance wasn't til college and wasn't completely fulfilled as Julian had a life changing event at the time and pushed Dahlia away. Their past with each other plays a huge role in their present interactions, internal monologues, and consideration for what could exist for them now. I personally thought there was too much focus on their past and the negatives surrounding it, esp their time in college, as it became repetitive for me. I still found their banter and many of the details amusing, I just wished that progress came for them a bit earlier in the book. Still, this romance is character-driven and relationship-focused and had a wealth of emotional scenes, sweet moments, funny shenanigans, and steaminess. ZAHRA A GIRLBOSS, I loved her so much. We don't get women as strong and as independent as her in fiction very often. AND I NEVER GET TIRED OF THESE CHARACTERS. She's this bright and intelligent person who took hardships in life and used them as a weapon to make herself a better person. THE FAVORITE PART OF THIS BOOK for me was Zahra's relationship with her sister Ani. And Ani was my favorite character. I have a soft spot for disability rep in fiction and THIS ONE was executed so well! I wouldn't say that any of the dialogue she was involved in was very realistic, but I can forgive that one. The Dreamland Billionaires series covered the stories of the three billionaire brothers but who knows if Asher will decide to add more to this series.

Dahlia was also amazing to read about because we truly saw her struggles, flaws, and most vulnerable components of her character. as a reader, I loved witnessing how she overcame her trauma, grief, and trust issues... it provided so much more to her character and this book as a whole.🥹 Julian- our praise kink and adoring man who undoubtedly stole the show here and I was swooning so hard for this man and everything he said and did. He’s a billionaire, in his 30s, and I couldn’t help but envision Julian as Rafael from Jane the virgin so do with that what you will. He struggled with loss/grief and what came with that but was absolutely aware of the detriment it posed to his life and past relationship with dahlia early on that it made me appreciate him so much because he took accountability for it and didn’t shy away from putting in the effort to make things work and being open to sharing more of himself as he was said to be so closed off. With that being said, I valued the way he communicated with her and in how he felt. Extremely grateful I didn’t have to wait until the end for that. His character development was felt fairly early on as well than I anticipated. Meanwhile, h and H had seeing each other during the years but very little. H is mad bc she dated roommate but understands that he let her go. H and h have a godson and he is the kid of the next book Hero. I supposed his nanny is the heroine. This kid has a disease. He is going to be blind with time. boredom . Never at any point in this book was I interested . Was Bored throughout . DNF’d this book . Whatever it was supposed to focus on passed and the book just continued and diverged from that path without my noticing . I was left looking for the climax and purpose .gave up looking .My plan to marry Declan was simple in theory. Move in together. Throw a wedding. Have a baby. We set rules to prevent any kind of issues. Ones that were never meant to be broken, no matter how much Declan tempts me.

Dahlia and Julian have such a beautiful story. Julian had me blushing and swooning, he is so in love with Dahlia (KING!!) and will do ANYTHING for her! He has now entered my top tier fictional men list. As for Dahlia, she was so strong and vulnerable that it made me want to give her the biggest hug, she truly is a queen that deserves the absolute world. before selling it. The request was simple in theory until my entire plan blew up on the very first day. I’m the Kane brother everyone gossips about behind closed doors. Trust fund brat. Washed-up athlete. High-functioning alcoholic. No one knows the real me but her. While their relationship begins to build, it is tough to ignore the evolution of their casual relationship while building something much more than mere physical attraction while Rowan begins seeing more of Zahra with her family and outside of work. These two characters develop in such an outstanding way as it allows you see the shifts in both Rowan and Zahra throughout the entire novel while they begin to see life in a whole different light. Readers loved how Rowan is a mentor for Ani, too. I did however liked Ani, Zahra's sister. She was full of life and so so easy to like and read about. Claire and Rowan's brothers were there too and that's pretty much about them. These two are quite literally everything to me. As I was reading I could really feel the deep love between these characters, they are soulmates and I will never get over them. I’m so proud of their growth after everything they have both been through. I honestly had such a good time with this story. I was flying through it and it felt like something my mind needed. These idiots were so cute together! I really liked their romance. I think you hate how much you want me. Because to care about me means you have to admit to having a heart.” I place a soft kiss against his lips. “So keep telling yourself those pretty little lies. Your secret is safe with me.” Julian was absolutely wonderful to read because his personality and his absolute undying loyalty, care, and admiration toward Dahlia and his family were extremely admirable. 🩷

Dahlia and Julian come with a fun and nosy set of family members on both sides. Their mommas, siblings, and Julian's nephew were amazing supporting characters, usually bringing extra humor, but also a huge dose of love. Prank wars - enough said. It was also fun seeing some of the townsfolk and a couple characters from Ms. Asher's prior series. Julian's cousin/adopted brother is going through some major things and dealing with emotional baggage. I'm really looking forward to his book, which is next. There's a somewhat shady, but not completely sure, character that I'm curious if he will be in other books. His motivations may be unclear, but he had some intriguing interactions with Dahlia and Julian. Our marriage was supposed to be the perfect solution to my biggest problem. But the more we act in love for the public, the more unsure I feel about our contract. Caring about Iris was never part of the deal. Especially not when breaking her heart is inevitable. OK FIRST OF ALL: y'all do such a shitty job at advertising books, this should be illegal. What's the point of saying: I am a bookstagrammer when you DON'T DISCLOSE important information? Go with the flow, Dahlia. Easier said than done. I've never been that kind of person, thanks to my anxiety and chronic overthinking, so I'm not exactly one to roll with the punches and throw caution to the wind.” At first I really liked Zara . I could really relate to her in some ways . Overly playful and joking all the time , constantly blushing ….then when she refused to take his bs …..until she did .Listen I know the guy has daddy issues (basic btw) we get it . we’re sorry but we canNOT use that to justify his behavior ?! There are people who have gone through much worse and still have DECENCY. After a while she got a littttle annoying with the way she kept making excuses for him and behaving like an idiot .

I feel like this book was the least interesting of the two. It’s definitely still worth reading since it sets the foundation for the plot, but aside from that, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It makes me really upset that I didn’t enjoy it because it features my favorite tropes but it didn’t do them justice. I loved that even though Julian is a billionaire, he has insecure depths and is shy/reserved. He's not great at communicating and, unfortunately, Dahlia's also not the best at communicating either. Dahlia's in a challenging place dealing with the end of an engagement, upheaval in her career, and health information. I thought the representation was strong and appreciated that Dahlia sought therapy. I also liked that Julian had memories of his father helping him regulate his emotions and how he went about that. These are characters who have a lot of talent and resources, but also struggling on a deeper level. Then there are the sneaky ways that Julian has supported Dahlia's dreams and continues to be supportive. Dahlia's presence also pushes Julian to make important life changes that he'd fought previously, but that benefit him. Despite the start of their relationship being all friction and button pushing, a truly sweet and uplifting romance develops. I did feel the transitions at times weren't as smooth as they could be, but I was so happy they were moving towards where I needed them to go, I didn't dwell. As a definite bonus, it's a steamy romance too with some sneaking around to hide what's going on at first. Also Zahra purposely messing up the bowling swing he was teaching her just so he could keep touching her...

An author of romance novels, Lauren Asher is well-regarded for writing emotional and engaging stories that really draw the reader in. Filling her books with angst and steam, she immerses her audience in her richly interwoven worlds that instantly grab the reader. Imaginative and compelling on every level, she perfectly understands her audience, knowing just where she wants to take them. This approach of hers has seen her become enormously successful worldwide, reaching a variety of different readers both nationally and internationally. Terms and Conditions” is the second novel in the “Dreamland Billionaires” series and was released in 2022. Couldn’t get enough of “The Fine Print”? Fall in love with the next installment in Lauren Asher’s sexy and hot “Dreamland Billionaires” series. Anyways, lazy recommendation aside...I came into this with the right set of expectations because I knew this was a romcom.

Did I cry multiple times during this book? Absolutely, but no one should be surprised about this. Lauren’s writing is one of my favorites and she has done it again writing a masterpiece. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. 💜 Honestly, Dahlia deserves a medal for putting up with that excuse of a man. If I were her, I might have poisoned that stinky rat. But hats off to her for handling all the drama with maturity. It seemed like all she needed was someone to be there for her, and lo and behold, enter Julian – the designated emotional support. It's almost like she found her personal superhero. I will still read Terms and Conditions, cause I already bought it and I kinda have to. I'm petty and don't want to waste my money, excuse the fact that I already did but yeah... My life went full-blown Dreamland princess in less than an hour. But instead of a prince on a horse, I ended up with Rowan–the perfect kind of morally gray hero I love reading about. BITCH WHAT never in my life have I felt this offended! Morally gray characters are fuming right, they didn’t do all of what they had to do, so this girl could come and insult them. THE AUDACITY. THE ONLY GRAY THING ABOUT ROBERTO IS THE ASH WHEN I BURN THIS BOOK DOWN.
